Elliot Laubach

Elliot is best known for his strong editorial talent and diverse experience as a filmmaker. As an editor, he has a high level of aptitude, while also mastering skills in other departments. His sense of timing is impeccable, and his level of artistry and creativity in and out of the edit, never ceases to impress. Elliot is also competent on all levels of production and has written, directed, and shot roughly a third of his work. Within recently expanding his editorial skillset, he discovered a new fascination with motion work and finishing. In whole, Elliot has cut and designed content for some of the largest brands on the planet.

Elliot's early entry into the post world officially began when he landed an internship with FleishmanHillard, a highly recognized global digital marketing agency. In the DC office, he assisted the creative team primarily as a video editor and motion graphics artist. He helped with the delivery of video work from commercial, corporate, video and b-roll packages (television and news), and much more for the world’s top industries and companies.

Upon graduating with a BA in TV/Film from DeSales University, Elliot began freelancing in the greater DC area. One of his major jobs involved working as a freelance video editor for the National Retail Federation. During his tenure, he created and cut multiple videos for the world's largest retail conference and expo, NRF 2019: Retails Big Show. His other work included creating video bumpers, official logo animations, and text animations complete with new branding, sound, and music selection.

Shortly after freelancing, Elliot accepted a position at Flavor, a design-based division of Cutters Studios, an international top-tier production company. At Flavor he worked as a VFX/Finishing Assistant, lending a hand to a collective of Flame artists and designers. Elliot learned how to conform offline edits in Flame (composite software) for final color and mix, in addition to other finishing tasks such as versioning, QC, and creating final delivery shipping files. He also did a variety of compositing himself, plus clean-up, roto, and title work on a long list of national commercials featuring Pitbull, Anderson .Paak, and Maya Angelou, just to name a few.

Elliot's creative legacy ultimately dates back to his youth, where he spent many of his high school days designing lighting for numerous theatrical performances and events. Even then, his remarkable talent caught the eyes of many, including BlueChipSound, a professional sound and lighting company that instantly hired him to work alongside their team. Aside from lighting, Elliot also actively participated in video classes, was awarded scholarships to art and broadcast programs, and played piano competitively.

Ever since Elliot held a camera at age 10, he knew that this field was meant for him. He is best valued for his meticulous eye, entrepreneurial creativity, and ability to manage his work without ego. Elliot is a genuine artist and a true collaborative partner in any creative endeavor.
